Dimitri’s Rail still on track… for Boston stage spectacular!

April 3, 2009

DIMITRI’S RAIL may have been pipped at the post in the recent radio contest to open for Foreigner – but the Hot Texan rock band IS set to open for the legendary BOSTON!

With a global following since their inception in the 1970s and no less popular with classic rock fans to this day, Boston sold 50 million albums and is best known for the mega hits More Than a Feeling, Peace of Mind, Foreplay/LongTime, Don’t Look Back and Amanda.

We’ve got more than a feeling that Dimitri’s Rail, fronted by gifted singer Paul Ehmer, will have the crowd very nicely warmed up for Boston’s show on May 1 (a tour in tribute to late lead singer Brad Delp, who tragically took his own life in 2007).

Dimitri’s Rail – on track for superstardom!

March 15, 2009
Dimitri's Rail - will they rise to our challenge?!

Dimitri's Rail - will they rise to our challenge?!

Okay, so on the surface this may seem to be off topic – hot Texan rock band Dimitri’s Rail does NOT do French songs (yet!)… but LingoLyrics has CHALLENGED frontman Paul Ehmer to do just that – sing in French!

Even it it’s just the chorus! (Example:  the incredible ‘Lady Marmalade’ – Voulez -vous Coucher Avec Moi ce soir – from the Moulin Rouge soundtrack, featuring Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim, Mýa, and Pink.

Why? Because Paul Ehmer has the most amazing vocals, and Dimitri’s Rail is so awesome we’d love the excuse to feature them on our addictive language learning ezine at www.LingoLyrics.com, which provides the best French music videos, translated lyrics and cool profiles on featured artists.

Random, you might say… but you’ll understand if you’ve ever heard the phenomenal sounds of Dimitri’s Rail. If not, don’t just take our word for it – check out their groundbreaking music HERE!

Dimitri’s Rail hit the alternative rock scene in 2001. In 2003 they released their debut album, “Seasons of the Weak”. The album was produced in conjunction with top engineer Steve Christensen, who has worked with multi-platinum artist Destiny’s Child and Clay Walker. Songwriter/front-man Paul Ehmer was nominated for Male Vocalist of the Year at the 2004 MTM Texas Music Awards.

DR is now back in the studio recording the second full length album due for release in 2009. This amazing band has opened for
Vince Neil (of Motley Crue), Blue October, The Hunger, and many more.
